2. General information on data processing

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of legal provisions (in particular the GDPR and the BDSG). Below, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within our website.

3. Access data (server log files)

When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. This includes:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the server request
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer

This data is used exclusively for technical monitoring and optimization of operations. No merging with other data sources takes place. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and trouble-free provision of our website).

4. Contacting us

If you contact us via our contact form or by email, the data you provide (name, email address, message) will be stored and processed exclusively for the purpose of handling your request.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (processing for the fulfillment of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in communication).

5. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to provide certain functions and improve user-friendliness. These are small text files that are stored on your device. You can restrict or prevent the setting of cookies at any time via your browser settings.

If cookies process personal data, this is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent) or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest).

6. Use of third-party providers (e.g., Google Fonts, YouTube, Maps)

Depending on the design of our website, content from third-party providers may be integrated (e.g., fonts from Google Fonts, map material from Google Maps, or videos from YouTube). This may involve the transfer of personal data to the providers’ servers – including in third countries such as the USA.

We always integrate this content in a data-saving manner and only with your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Details can be found in a preceding cookie banner or consent dialog, if applicable.

7. Your rights as a data subject

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Information about your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”, Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of given consents (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR)
  • Complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), e.g., to the State Commissioner for Data Protection of your federal state

8. Storage period

We store personal data only as long as it is necessary for the stated purposes or as long as legal retention obligations exist.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, destruction, access, alteration, or dissemination by unauthorized persons.

10. Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy if necessary, for example, to adapt to new legal requirements or changes to our website.
